What is @scorpionxclub?

Do you remember how it felt when you bought the first piece of furniture for your own place? Buying an object that you intend to live with for a long time reflects who you are. This reflection affirms who you are, and ultimately brings personal comfort. I want to contribute to this feeling. Many Black and Brown LGBTQ+ youth don’t get to experience stable housing or even a space of their own, @scorpionxclub is a response to the issues of homelessness, and estrangement within the community. A central theme of my work is a sense of community. We not only make objects but we also curate objects and art made by others for collaborations and interactive installations that are representative of domestic spaces familiar to Black and Brown  LGBTQ+ people..
